thinner

I've been doing Weight Watchers for 5 months now and I've lost almost 10kg. What I don't get is how come I'm still fat? It's amazing you don't realise how the weight has piled on. I didn't care that much really, but I've seen the future and it was scary. I don't want to be 40 and 100kg. I don't think I'm ever going to be into exercise as there are 100 other things I'd rather/need to do. I've got a pedometer and it really is a slave driver - I need to do at least 10,000 steps a day, so I'm having to force myself to get active. Seems to be working!
Don't think I'll ever have trouble with anorexia though!

her "worship" the mare

no, I didn't spell it wrong.
Well, I knew it wouldn't be too long. I opened up the local rag this morning and see that the bastard council are planning 4 new buildings around the Boatshed on the harbour. What the bloody hell for? So they can rake in more rates I guess. If anyone ever enjoyed watching the fireworks or any thing else from the grassy knoll - well tough luck. It's being removed to make way for a useless building.
They say power corrupts, but we so often vote in people that are already corrupt and black-hearted. I just hope she never runs for government. Would we see all the National Parks covered in buildings? It could happen. You need to be soooo careful with your vote.

Sudoku

Wow have you tried this yet? What an annoying little puzzle. It is almost impossible to put down once you've started and will probably be responsible for a whole generation of short sighted people.

Absolutely Positively Corrupt

I love Wellington and I'm heartbroken about how the council seems to be destroying it slowly. I used to look out on a scrub-covered hillside which was far too precipitous to build on. Or so I thought. The council has given planning permission for houses to go there. Why? Must they destroy every single piece of green in the city so that an inept council can rake in more rate money? Is our mayor so taken with "Lord of the Rings" that she thought she'd copy Saruman? I wonder if she and her beloved (property developer) husband would like it if someone built several blocks of flats on her back yard. I'm heartily sick of seeing parks and reserves and even fountains disappear under yet more concrete. I'm also sick of those people who voted for the mayor because they thought she was doing a good job - WAKE UP!
mmm think I'd best go and calm down. No doubt will tkae up the subject again later - I could rant on for hours!
