Feelings

There's been a lot of to-do recently about cartoons depicting religious icons in offensive manners. Now I don't subscribe to any religion and nothing offended me personally. However, it got me to thinking (an amazing feat) about how the 'human' race is degenerating. If something really offends and hurts people, then why do it? We should have more consideration and compassion for our fellow men even if we don't always understand or agree with their beliefs. It would make the world a nicer place if we just respected other people.
As for the freedom of the press - Phwa!
How would that cartoonist like it if we took whatever he held dear and mocked it and put it out for the rest of the world to see?

Home is where the heart is

I love New Zealand and I thought I'd be here forever. However the pull of the family is just too great, so Taffy and I are going back to the Motherland to live.

Throwies

Now I'm as environmentally friendly as the next person, but throwies just really appeal to me. I know they are an environmental nightmare, but so's the whole human race. So I think everyone should make some and light up NZ.
You can get LEDs for 28c at Dick Smith. Stron magnets are $2 for 8 at the $2 shop. Haven't had chance to look out for batteries, but I'm definitely gonna do this.

Not Guilty? - hah

Our "lovely" neighbour went to court again in Friday. She pleaded not guilty. She was caught red-handed by the police banging on our door with a plank of wood. How the bloody hell is she even allowed to plead not guilty? The justice system is a farce.

Tipsy

We just had a meeting at which our new CEO told us how wonderful everything is going to be. He's either lying or seriously deluded. I can't understand how massive companies go on making enormous profits. At the bottom end they are doing everything possible to ensure they don't have to increase salaries or pay out bonuses. Then eventually all our jobs are going to be outsourced overseas. Where will it all end? Am I the only one that can see the potential harm to NZ? Or is it the fact that our CEO is from overseas and doesn't give a damn about this country?
Oh well, there were free drinkies afterwards.
