It's a girl!

The most prettiest baby ever was born on July 26th. Josie Erin came into the world. She's very cute, with a mop of black hair and a sweetheart mouth. She gave her mum a bit of trouble as she was breach and had to be born by caesarian. This means that she didn't get squashed on the way out.
Also, my Dad has bought himself a new car - a Sirion. It's very posh and I'm looking forward to a joy ride or 2. It's beginning to get hot again here, so Mum'll be glad of the air con.

Harry Potter 6

Don't bother reading it - it's pants.

London

It's been just over a week since the London bombings and it's weird to be in the motherland at the moment. The bombings were truly terrible and reminded me how we grew up under the threat of the IRA. The fact that these murders were carried out by British lads is beyond belief.

A lot of what I read in the papers makes me despair of this country. But then I walk around my parents village and get some lovely greetings from complete strangers. Then you see all the beautifully tended gardens and flower baskets everywhere. You know, there is hope - people do care.

hot hot hot

I am in the UK visiting rellies. I'm sure it was never this hot when I was growing up here. Definitely a change in climate. We are melting. At least it's not humid.
I foolishly bought a cross stitch kit to make for the impending arrival of my niece. Perhaps it will be ready by her wedding. mmmm wonder if she'd like a poncho?
